Our unmanned drone systems for surveillance, detection and localisation in real time have been tried and tested for a long time and are used by the German Armed Forces, among others: flexibility in transport and deployment, flight time, range and the possibility of equipping them with the necessary payloads such as thermal imaging, near-IR zoom cameras, SAR, EW payloads or numerous other sensor systems have proven their worth in operations around the globe.
A core element is the technical logistical support of the systems. Here we offer you an exciting product environment in which you can contribute and develop your expertise as a project manager (m/f/d).
Your tasks:
Your goal is to ensure the operational readiness of the systems, taking into account the applicable regulations of an aeronautical company (LTB) as well as those of the public client (including the German Armed Forces)
You are the first contact and point of contact for procurement authorities and for our system users
You accompany and support the internal maintenance processes and the supply of spare parts
You coordinate the inflow and outflow of systems and system material to the Bundeswehr locations
In the event of flight incidents, you prioritise the processing of reports and coordinate investigation case committees
You will maintain the integrated management systems, forward reports and formulate comments
You monitor your resource requirements and utilisation, your KPIs relating to time, quality, cost utilisation and your turnover, maintain them in the PM tool and report them regularly to the management
You coordinate possible subcontractors, make make-or-buy decisions and lead the claim management, for example in the case of quality complaints about our commissioned work packages
You have completed a technical or commercial degree or have several years of professional experience after successful training.
You have knowledge of project management, a good understanding of business contexts and also basic knowledge of contract law
Ideally, you have a military professional background, for example a sergeant's rank or a completed officer's career
You communicate clearly and purposefully and make decisions while weighing up opportunities and risks
You are willing to travel occasionally
We offer you a challenging job in an exciting and international market of the future. What you should bring with you is a high degree of personal responsibility and willingness to perform. At Rheinmetall, you will find recognition, attractive remuneration and a secure and long-term perspective. We attach great importance to the compatibility of career and family.
